09/10/2025, 13:31Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev held a meeting with Najib Benhassin, Regional Director of the World Bank for Central Asia.
During the talks, key areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed, including prospects for expanding cooperation within the framework of the National Development Programme until 2030.
Adylbek Kasymaliyev noted the steady pace of economic growth: on average, GDP growth has been 9% over the past three years and 11.5% in January-July of this year.
One of the government's goals is to achieve an economy worth at least $30 billion by 2030. He paid special attention to the construction of the Kambarata HPP-1, emphasising its strategic importance for the country's energy security.
In turn, Najib Benhassin announced the World Bank's readiness to continue supporting projects in Kyrgyzstan. He noted the high level of cooperation and stressed that the dynamic growth of the country's economy is attracting considerable interest from international investors.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed confidence in the further strengthening and expansion of the partnership, emphasising the strategic role of the World Bank in the implementation of key projects in Kyrgyzstan.
