David Purtskhvanidze's workshop in Talas, known as Safari, continues to operate despite changes in the economy and industry. The atelier, located in the city centre, is an example of a small business that has successfully maintained its niche in the market by offering clients quality and personalised tailoring services.

David Purtskhvanidze, who learnt sewing and worked with teachers without being paid for it, founded his workshop in order to ensure his independence from standard market conditions. His atelier uses antique mechanical sewing machines, which he says provide high quality work and are not dependent on electricity. Despite limited resources, the workshop continues to operate, serving customers, including students and the elderly, to whom he sews for free.

David Purtskhvanidze also actively follows global fashion trends, using the internet to learn and improve the quality of his services. An example of the success of the atelier is the fact that Chingiz Aitmatov once visited here, for whom a famous suit was sewn, which later became part of the writer's bust. Today he does not receive a pension.
