http://demirbank.kg/Demir Kyrgyz International Bank CJSC (DKIB) is the first international commercial bank in the Kyrgyz Republic.
Demir Kyrgyz International Bank was established in Bishkek in accordance with the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic with a paid-up share capital of US$3,000,000 (approximately 54 million KGS) and obtained all necessary licenses for banking activities in the Kyrgyz Republic on May 2, 1997. The official opening ceremony of the Bank was held on May 28, 1997 with the participation of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and representatives of all shareholders of the Bank.
15 years ago, when Kyrgyzstan was implementing a number of measures to create a favorable environment for attracting foreign capital to the country's economy, the establishment of Demir Kyrgyz International Bank was a significant event, as it became the first commercial bank whose authorized capital consisted of 100% foreign investment.
During the period of its formation, DKIB has gone through a rather difficult path: it survived the Russian crisis of 1998, the Turkish crisis of 2000, but despite all the difficulties, the Bank not only did not lose its positions in the banking market of Kyrgyzstan, but also strengthened them.
Today Demir Kyrgyz International Bank is a modern financial institution that has achieved significant results in the banking services market and is currently among the top five commercial banks in Kyrgyzstan in terms of assets, capital and profit. The Bank significantly contributes to the development of the Kyrgyz economy in general and the banking sector in particular and has a great influence on the improvement of the country's banking system.
In addition, the Bank pays special attention to participation in the social life of the country. DKIB is a member of various organizations, associations and payment systems, such as the International Business Council of Kyrgyzstan (IBC), the Association of Banks of Kyrgyzstan, Rotary Club and KITIAD (Kyrgyz-Turkish Society of Businessmen).
