04/25/2025, 09:14Within the framework of his working visit to the United States of America, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev held a series of bilateral meetings with the heads of major American corporations representing various sectors of the economy.
During the constructive talks, promising areas of cooperation were discussed.
At the meeting with Pavel Chichko, regional director of Boeing, the emphasis was placed on the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the aviation sector, including modernization of aviation infrastructure of Kyrgyzstan, development of transit potential.
Specific steps were discussed with Mike Harney, IBM's Vice President for Governance and Regulatory Affairs, to implement IBM's advanced IT solutions and technologies to improve the efficiency of government agencies, optimize processes and accelerate the digitalization of Kyrgyzstan's economy. Special attention was paid to cybersecurity and personal data protection.
During the meeting with the Director of Starlink, Rebecca Hunter, the practical aspects of providing broad access to high-speed Internet throughout Kyrgyzstan, including mountainous and remote areas, using advanced satellite technologies Starlink were considered.
Matthew Drossos, partner at White & Case LLP, discussed legal support of investment projects in Kyrgyzstan, improvement of legislation in the field of investor protection and improvement of the investment climate in order to create the most favorable conditions for attracting large international companies and ensuring stability of investments.
A conversation was held with Stephen Powell, Founding Executive Director of SinoPowell, dedicated to the possibilities of attracting investment in projects in the field of mining, in particular, the development of deposits of critical minerals.
During the meeting with Pini Althaus, Managing Partner of Cove Capital, the prospects of investing in the energy sector of Kyrgyzstan, as well as in projects related to the extraction and processing of critical minerals were discussed.
During all meetings Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the firm commitment of the Kyrgyz government to create the most favorable investment climate, guaranteeing the protection of investors' rights and providing comprehensive support to the implemented projects. He also noted that the republic is interested in attracting advanced technologies, knowledge and capital to ensure sustainable economic development, improve the living standards of citizens and the implementation of innovative projects.
At the end of the working visit, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers also familiarized himself with the activities of the processing center of Visa to study the best practices and technologies in the field of financial transactions.
