Bishkek and Rome have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen ties

On 3 October, a significant ceremony of signing a memorandum of understanding between Bishkek and Rome, the capitals of Kyrgyzstan and Italy, took place. 

This important document was signed by Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev and the head of the municipality, Francesca Del Bello, during the visit of the Kyrgyz President to Italy.

The parties aim to strengthen mutual friendship and knowledge exchange between the two cities, which will be possible through cooperation in several key areas. These areas include urban management and regeneration, environmental protection and sustainable development, and education and culture.

In addition, there will be a focus on social development, social inclusion and innovation, designed to stimulate international interest through the active exchange of experience and the realisation of joint projects.
