12/19/2024, 15:04On December 19, shareholders of MAM OJSC decided to change the name of the main aviation enterprise of Kyrgyzstan. This was reported to “Akchabar” by their own sources.
The new name is JSC “Airports of Kyrgyzstan”. Owners of 28.6 million shares voted for it, 3 million shares were against it, 1.3 thousand abstained.
The change of the name was due to a number of factors, including existing problems with identification and identification of the company with the airport of the same name in Bishkek - Manas International Airport. According to the company's management, this confusion negatively affects the image of both the airport itself and the joint stock company as a whole, and also causes misunderstandings among clients and business partners.
In order to improve communication and strengthen the brand, a new name was proposed: JSC “Airports of Kyrgyzstan”. This name reflects the scale of the joint stock company, which manages a network of airports across the country.
It is expected that the name change will contribute to improving marketing strategies and expanding the geography of flights, as well as emphasize the important role of the company in the development of the country's transport infrastructure.
