09/17/2024, 11:21According to the Demir Bank's financial statements, the Bank increased its authorized capital up to 6 billion KGS in August 2024.
By the end of July, the Bank's capital amounted to KGS 2 billion. The increase was achieved through the ninth issue of Demir Bank's common shares. Last week, from September 9 to September 13, the Financial Market Regulation and Supervision Service registered the results of the bank's share allocation.
Although not all banks published their August reports, which makes it difficult to determine Demir Bank's exact capital position, information from the NBKR for the end of the second quarter of 2024 demonstrates that the largest banks in Kyrgyzstan were Aiyl Bank (12.4 bln KGS), Eldik Bank (11.4 bln KGS) and MBANK (8.7 bln KGS).
The next in line were Keremet Bank (8 billion 698.7 million KGS) and Bakai Bank (7 billion KGS). If there are no major changes in the banking sector in July and August, Demir Bank is expected to rank sixth in terms of authorized capital amount among 21 banks operating in the country.
