A farm was fined for dumping animal waste

The Municipal Inspectorate of Bishkek Mayor's Office prosecuted the farm «Alexander» for illegal dumping of animal slaughter wastes in a field in the Vostoka district, which was not a designated place. The violation was revealed during an inspection organised by a commission consisting of representatives of the City Inspectorate, Lebedinovskiy MAB and the Veterinary Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The farm is located on the territory of the municipal administrative block ‘Lebedinovka’ and is within the boundaries of Bishkek city. The inspection found that the farm disposed of biological waste in violation of sanitary norms. As a result, the consumer cooperative was fined 23 thousand KGS based on Article 115(2) of the Code of Offences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In addition to the fine, the farm is ordered to eliminate the identified violations, as well as to conclude a contract for the removal and disposal of waste at the Bishkek sanitary landfill in accordance with veterinary rules.

The municipality reminds that, according to the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution ‘On ensuring epizootic peace and veterinary and sanitary well-being’, it is strictly prohibited to dispose of biological waste by burying it in the ground, dumping it in rubbish, water bodies or rubbish containers.
