Today, November 21, during a press conference, the head of the Presidential Property Management Department Kanybek Tumаnbaev said that 40-42 thousand apartments are currently under construction in Kyrgyzstan. He also recalled that from 2023 the Government Mortgage Company (GMC) began to build its own objects.

The country has faced some difficulties with large-scale construction projects, including problems with the supply of cement and building materials, Tumonbayev said. However, these issues are gradually beginning to be resolved, he said.

“After December 10, the GMC will start handing over the first objects,” he noted.

In addition, at the moment there are 39 thousand families in the electronic queue for mortgages.

“Of them, 60% expect to receive a preferential mortgage, 35% - affordable mortgage, and 5% - social mortgage,” the GMC said.
