The Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic hosted public hearings chaired by the Minister of Finance Almaz Baketaev with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, non-governmental organisations and civil society. 

The event took place on 1 November 2024 in the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and continued the discussion of issues raised at the parliamentary hearings on the draft national budget for 2025.

During the hearings, representatives of non-governmental organisations and civil society highlighted problems in the health sector and stressed the need to increase funding for priority areas requiring immediate attention and solutions.

As a result, Baketaev instructed to find additional resources to increase funding for the health sector.
