At the parliamentary committee on transport meeting today, MP Baktybek Sydykov criticised the activities of state enterprises. In his words, only 6 out of 64 operating state enterprises bring profit.

In 2024, all state enterprises currently numbered 64, transferred 21 billion KGS to the budget dividends. However, according to MP Baktybek Sydykov, only 6 bring this profit.

"There is no result and will not be. We proposed to sell these companies. And we are ‘breeding’ more and more of these state companies. Give them to the private sector, to business. "Kyrgyzindustry has created more than 18 enterprises, but only three are working. Remember, with what scandal the state enterprise ‘Kyrgyz Tourism’ was closed down. Can we stop it?" - he asked.

At the same time, about ten new SOEs have been created since 2021, according to the Economy Ministry.

Finance Ministry head Almaz Baketayev informed that about 92 billion KGS have been invested in financial assets and 162 billion KGS in non-financial assets.

"These companies bring dividends to the budget. Last year's receipts totalled 18 billion KGS, this year - 21 billion,’ he said.
