04/15/2025, 12:51In Abu Dhabi, with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, a ceremony was held to sign a memorandum on mutual recognition and exchange of driving licences between the State Agency for Registration of Vehicles and Drivers and the Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates.
The Memorandum was signed with the aim of facilitating the movement of citizens through mutual recognition of driving licences issued by the competent authorities of both countries. The practical implementation and official entry into force of the memorandum will be announced within a month as the date is agreed between the parties through diplomatic channels.
The document was signed by Ulan Karypbekov, Director of the State Agency for Registration of Vehicles and Drivers, and Sheikh Seif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the UAE.
Director of the Consular Department Seitek Zhumakadyr uulu, as well as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the UAE Aman Saliev and representatives of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the UAE attended the meeting from the Kyrgyz side.
During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues on the agenda of Kyrgyz-Emirati relations, including the creation of favourable conditions for citizens to stay in the territory of the two states.
