    Kyrgyzstan Triples Livestock Exports and Finds a New Market

    Kyrgyzstan has seen a significant increase in live cattle exports during the first eight months of 2024. According to data from the National Statistical Committee, the volume of exports reached 81,120 head of cattle, nearly three times the amount exported in the same period of 2023, when 27,823 head were shipped.

    Uzbekistan remains the main buyer of Kyrgyz livestock, receiving 81,008 head out of the total export volume. Additionally, for the first time this year, Kyrgyzstan exported 112 head of cattle to Azerbaijan, expanding the geography of its exports, as no shipments were made to this country last year.

    Revenue from livestock exports during this period amounted to $15.4 million, surpassing the 2023 figure of $10.9 million.
