In Bishkek, a meeting of the commission for the selection of grant applications from farmers under the UNDP Aid for Trade project funded by the Government of Finland was held. Nineteen grant applications from farmers-gardeners, farmers-forest users and co-operatives were approved.

The total amount of funding is more than $20 thousand. Projects from Issyk-Kul, Batken and Jalal-Abad oblasts were supported.

The project focuses on the development of value-added chains (VAC) of dried fruits, dried berries and nuts, improvement of farmers' competitiveness and sustainable economic growth.
