Kyrgyzstan invited American partners in energy, subsoil use and tourism

During his working trip to the United States, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev held an important meeting with representatives of the Kyrgyz-American Business Council. During the roundtable in Washington, he outlined the key areas where Kyrgyzstan is ready for active international partnership.

Special attention was paid to the energy sector, where the flagship project is Kambarata HPP-1. According to Kasymaliyev, the construction of this hydropower plant will ensure not only sustainable energy security for Kyrgyzstan, but also for the whole of Central Asia. The project was also discussed at the Spring Sessions of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, which emphasizes its international significance and investment attractiveness.

“Kambarata HPP-1 is a strategic initiative that can change the energy balance in the region,” the head of the Cabinet said, inviting U.S. partners to participate in its realization.

The second priority is mining and processing of minerals, especially critical resources demanded in the world markets. Kyrgyzstan offers reliable and environmentally responsible cooperation focused on long-term sustainability.

Kasymaliyev also emphasized the potential of the country's tourism industry. Visa-free regime for citizens of many countries, unique natural conditions and rich cultural heritage annually attract millions of tourists, opening up business opportunities in the field of hotel service, infrastructure and ecological tourism.
