By October 1, 2024, the total insurance amount under contracts in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 1 trillion 210 billion KGS.  This is reported by the National Statistical Committee.

Despite the impressive figure, this amount is 10% lower than on the same date last year. The main reason for the decrease was the reduction in the volume of voluntary property insurance, which affected the total figure.

At the same time, for nine months of this year, a significant increase in the volume of insurance premiums received was recorded, which amounted to 3.1 billion KGS - 32% more compared to the same period of 2023.

It should be noted that since the beginning of the year, 14.6 thousand insurance cases were recorded, of which more than 53% were voluntary personal insurance against accidents and diseases, about 28% - voluntary personal health insurance.

At the same time, the main amounts of insurance payments were made on voluntary insurance of property of economic entities, more than 179 million KGS, and personal health insurance, about 46 million KGS.
