Energy Complex, Subsoil Use and Industrial Policy considered the issue of procurement of goods produced by organisations established by public associations of people with disabilities in Kyrgyzstan.

Deputy Minister of Labour, Social Security and Migration Kyyal Zhanuzakova noted that the method of procurement from a single source during the first nine months of 2024 was purchased goods worth 53 million 331 thousand 570 soms from the ‘Kyrgyz Society of the Blind and Deaf’ and from other organizations worth 236 million 758 thousand 979 soms.

During the discussion, MP Kunduzbek Sulaimanov asked what products these enterprises produce. The rapporteur noted that they produce about 150 types of goods, among which furniture and clothing products prevail. MP Zamirbek Mamasadykov called on the responsible state bodies to take measures to increase the number of companies employing people with disabilities, to raise awareness about the benefits and support measures provided by laws for this category of entrepreneurs.

MP Marat Murataliyev said that the production and economic opportunities of these organisations are limited, and raised the issue of opening such enterprises in the regions. MP Dastan Bekeshev emphasised on increasing the volume of products produced by these companies and improving their competitiveness.

As a result, the Committee, taking into account the information of the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration, noted that the enterprises of the mentioned societies should have sufficient support from the state.
