Bishkek Mayor Aibek Junushaliev made a working visit to Japan to strengthen ties in the field of environmentally sustainable technologies and urban development. 

The key point of the visit was to discuss the introduction of modern equipment for an eco-technological plant for processing solid domestic waste with the Japanese company Canadevía. 

The construction of this plant in Bishkek is being carried out thanks to investments from the Chinese company Junxin. During the visit, the Mayor of Bishkek held meetings with representatives of Metarise Japan, a digital technology and innovation company. They discussed the possibility of attracting investment in infrastructure projects in Bishkek, which could be a significant contribution to its development. 

Aibek Junushaliev also met with the management of the architectural and engineering company Nikken Sekkei. Important was the discussion of prospects for cooperation in the development of urbanism, urban environment and introduction of modern architectural solutions in the projects of the capital of Kyrgyzstan. As a result of the negotiations, agreements were reached to continue joint work aimed at the introduction of environmental technologies, digitalisation of city management and modernisation of its infrastructure.
