03/02/2025, 15:00In Bishkek, negotiations were held between the Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev and the General Director of Central Asian Investment Holding OJSC Oren Ahmet Muzhahid on the construction project of the Bishkek TPP-2 gas plant with a capacity of 250 MW.
During the meeting, the Minister of Energy emphasized the need for accelerated implementation of the project and proposed to complete the feasibility study (FS) within three months.
He noted that the timely launch of the new plant will ensure a stable power supply for the population and enterprises, increase the reliability of the energy system and improve the environmental situation in the capital.
In response to the Minister's initiative, the General Director of the company expressed readiness to speed up the process and confirmed that the holding will take the necessary measures for the prompt realization of the project.
The investment agreement fixing the key parameters of cooperation on the project was signed between the Cabinet of Ministers and the holding as early as September 20 last year.
The budget of the project is $443 million and is designed for implementation within 2-4 years. Currently, the holding has confirmed investment of 3 bln KGS (about $34.3 mln).
