03/24/2025, 15:56Last week, commercial banks purchased $40.9 mn at interbank currency trades. The largest volume of purchases fell on 19 March, when $19.5 mn was purchased.
Of the total amount, $21.7 mln was purchased with settlements on the date of the deal, while $19.2 mln - with settlements on another date.
During the week the dollar rate showed noticeable fluctuations. On March 17 trades opened at KGS 87.45 per dollar, and ended at KGS 87.1. On 18 March, the exchange rate at the opening was 87.1 KGS, but by the closing it dropped to 86 KGS.
The trend of instability continued on 19 March, when deals started at 86.005 KGS and ended with a decline to 85.65 KGS. However, on 20 March, the dollar exchange rate partially recovered: trades started at KGS 86 and closed at KGS 86.5.
