EEC Trade Minister Andrey Slepnev highlighted that this decision followed a renewed anti-dumping investigation launched by the EEC's Department for Domestic Market Protection on December 27, 2023, as the previous measures were nearing expiration.
The move was initiated at the request of wheel manufacturers within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Notably, the application was filed by Russia's LLC Foundry-Mechanical Plant SKAD and supported by LLC Azov-TEC, LLC K&K Wheels, and Kazakhstan's LLP Vector Pavlodar.
The anti-dumping duty, originally introduced in 2019, is currently set at 33.69% of the customs value of the wheels. The measure aims to protect local producers from unfair competition and will remain in effect throughout the ongoing investigation.
