An important stage in the Uch-Kurgan HPP rehabilitation has been completed

The OJSC 'Electric Power Plants' has installed a new stator of the hydro unit No. 4 at the Uch-Kurgan HPP as part of a large-scale project to rehabilitate the station. This stage is key for the reconstruction to be completed on time.

For today the old equipment has been completely dismantled, and the hydro unit No. 4 reconstruction is 65% complete.

Work is actively continuing at the plant, including assembly and installation of the rotor, guide vanes installation, mounting of the fire-fighting and cooling system, laying of electrical cables and new transformer installation.

The main goal of the project is to replace outdated equipment and increase the capacity of the HPP by 20%, which will enhance the reliability of power supply in the country.

Upon completion of the modernization, scheduled for December 2024, the plant's capacity will increase by 9 MW, which will provide for stable operation of hydro unit No. 4 during autumn and winter.
