National Statistical Committee will no longer provide personal data of entrepreneurs and legal entities

The National Statistical Committee implements new rules for access to data related to personal information.  They will come into force from January 1, 2025.

The changes concern access to data from the Unified State Register of Statistical Units, where information on legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and farms is stored.

According to the new rules, the National Statistical Committee will no longer provide on request the names of entrepreneurs, company names, their identification codes, legal addresses and contact details.

These changes are aimed at complying with the legislation on the protection of personal data to prevent their uncontrolled use and dissemination. The committee emphasizes that personal information must be securely protected and will only be accessed in strictly legal cases.

“This change is in line with the progressive requirements of the legislation aimed at protecting personal data, as well as improving control over its dissemination and use,” the National Statistical Committee said.

Previously, the committee continued to provide such information despite the fact that business registration is handled by justice and tax authorities. From 2025, requests for this data will have to be sent there.
