The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic published updated official exchange rates of foreign currencies for January 12. According to the new data, the som weakened against all major currencies, except for the euro.

The U.S. dollar strengthened by 0.29%, reaching 87.25 KGS. The Russian ruble rose by 0.34% to 0.8551 KGS. The Kazakh tenge rose 0.243% to 0.1656 KGS, while the Chinese yuan gained 0.29% to 11.8988 KGS.

The only currency against which the som strengthened was the euro. The exchange rate of the European currency decreased by 0.27% to 89.392 KGS.
