During the discussion, MP Balbak Tulebayev clarified that Matraimov had indeed paid the money to the budget. Tashiyev confirmed the information, noting that the investigation against Matraimov lasted 8 months and was initiated under three articles: illegal border crossing, hooliganism and laundering of criminal proceeds.
"He got out two days ago. Rayimbek Matraimov was released from custody, having paid $200 million to the budget of Kyrgyzstan. This is 17 billion soms,” Tashiev said.
Also, the head of the SCNS reminded that in 2021, when Matraimov was detained for the first time, he paid 2.5 billion soms to the budget. Taking into account all payments, including current ones, Matraimov's total contribution to the state budget amounted to 19.5 billion soms. This amount was paid to the budget in money and property.
Recall that in 2021 Matraimov was convicted on corruption charges. He was in custody for 7.5 months and was released on November 11.
