10/01/2024, 07:20Production of autoclaved aerated concrete has started in Chui Oblast, which will meet up to 30% of Kyrgyzstan's demand for this building material. The project is being implemented by the LLC ‘Kant TShP’ with financial support from the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, which allocated more than $8m for this purpose last year.
The funds were used to build a new production line and purchase modern equipment, including autoclaves.
In April 2023, the capsule for the construction of the new facility was laid by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov, and a year and a half later, full-scale production started there.
The new enterprise with a capacity of 300,000 cubic metres of gas blocks per year will not only replace up to 30% of imported products but will also create more than 100 new jobs. It is expected that annual tax revenues to the country's budget from its activities will amount to more than 100 million KGS.
Previously, aerated concrete blocks in Kyrgyzstan were produced in small shops with limited quality, forcing builders to import materials from abroad. Now, thanks to the latest autoclave curing technology and international production standards, including environmental standards, the republic will be able to reduce its dependence on external supplies. Gas blocks from ‘Kant TShP’ are 30 per cent cheaper than traditional bricks, which makes construction of houses more affordable and their operation more economical.
‘We have already started production and hope to fully satisfy the domestic market with quality aerated concrete,’ Erkin Akiev, director of Kant Development LLP, noted.
In turn, Chairman of the RKFR Board Artem Novikov stressed the importance of the launch of the enterprise for the reindustrialisation of the KR economy.
‘President Sadyr Zhaparov gave a start to the plant on 30 August, and in 2024 we have planned to launch 25 more new production facilities,’ he said.
