The budget committee will consider four international agreements today

As to MP Dastan Bekeshev, the budget committee will consider four international treaties at its meeting today.

One of the important issues is the Agreement with the Eurasian Development Bank. He says that thanks to a grant provided by Russia through the Bank, it is planned to build nine schools in Kyrgyzstan, an issue that has been discussed for more than two years.

The treaty with Cyprus on avoiding double taxation will also be considered. The deputy noted that this document could be useful for businessmen conducting activities between the two countries.

Also on the agenda is an agreement with Italy on mutual encouragement of investments, which, according to Bekeshev, will help expand the framework agreements and attract more foreign investment.

In addition, the committee will discuss receiving a $25 million loan from the International Development Association to support youth, women and socially active citizens in 40 regions of the country.

“Although the loan is interest-free, inflation will still play a role in its repayment, which requires careful analysis and attention,” he said.

In addition, 605 million KGS will be allocated to the Transportation Ministry for road repair and maintenance. Bekeshev noted that despite significant collections to the Road Fund, they are insufficient to meet all needs.
