Kyrgyz citizens who are in Russia in violation of migration laws must settle their legal status by April 30, 2025 or leave the country. This is informed by the representation of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation.

Thus, foreigners, including Kyrgyz citizens illegally staying in Russia are given the opportunity to legalize their stay.

“Until April 30, 2025 illegally staying foreigners are obliged to leave Russia or settle their legal status. All citizens of Kyrgyzstan staying in Russia should check themselves in the “black list”,” the agency said.

All those who found themselves on these lists and intend to legalize their stay, must undergo a dactyloscopy procedure, medical examination, take photographs, pay off existing debts, conclude an employment contract and enter the migration register.

In addition, foreign citizens who have the right to work in Russia must submit an application to the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation to extend their temporary stay in the country.

“Foreigners who are in Russia with violation of migration registration rules, illegally working or exceeding the terms of stay until February 5, 2025, can avoid sanctions in the form of expulsion and entry ban. For this purpose, it is necessary to legalize their legal status until April 30,” the agency said.
