Work on repairing the runway at Manas International Airport is in full swing. This was reported on his page in social networks by the press secretary of the head of state Askat Alagozov.

The repair is scheduled to be completed in October-November this year.

He said that, firstly, the runway will be renovated, which will ensure a softer landing of aircrafts.

Secondly, in the process of repair will be installed the most modern lighting systems, which give signals for landing aircraft.

This, in turn, will practically eliminate cases when planes could not land due to bad weather.
For example, now, even if a light fog descends, there will be no need to divert flights to other airports.

In brief, the runway of our airport will be equipped with the most modern technological equipment and brought in line with the requirements of the time.

Similar works are planned to be carried out next year at the Osh International Airport.
By the way, it is worth noting that these construction works are financed from Manas' own funds.
