11/14/2024, 14:13The condition of the Bishkek CHPP this year once again showed the need for its modernization, said Cabinet of Ministers Chairman Akylbek Zhaparov, speaking at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, describing the work done and to be done in the energy sector.
The nominal capacity of the Bishkek CHPP's two units is 150 MW each, but they actually produce only 110 MW each.
“We have allocated 1.6 billion soms for repairs. In addition, a $145m modernization of the CHPP has begun to use excess steam to generate electricity. This will generate an additional 47 MW,” Akylbek Zhaparov said.
