    In Bishkek they discussed co-operation in the spheres of trade and investment between Kyrgyzstan and Slovenia

    Today, 5 March, Foreign Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev received the State Secretary of the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Marko Stucin, who arrived in Bishkek to hold regular inter-ministerial consultations. 

    During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for expanding mutually beneficial co-operation in such key areas as trade, investment and transport. Special attention was paid to the development of mountain tourism, which could become an important area for strengthening ties between the two countries.

    Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev spoke in detail about infrastructure projects in the Kyrgyz Republic, inviting Slovenian companies to participate in their implementation.

    He also invited the Slovenian side to participate in the International Conference ‘Global Mountain Dialogue for Sustainable Development’, in the World Mountain Youth Festival on Lake Issyk-Kul, as well as in the Second Global Mountain Summit ‘Bishkek+25’ in 2027.
