    This year, 55.9 thousand smart meters will be installed in the Issyk-Kul region

    Issyk-Kul Power Grid Company continues installing smart meters to improve the quality of electricity supply to consumers and reduce accounts receivable.

    A total of 55,923 smart meters are planned to be installed in Issyk-Kul region by 2025.
    The Ministry of Energy reports that since January 2025, 10 thousand 333 smart meters have been installed throughout the region. The rest will be fully installed by the end of the year.

    Smart meters automatically transmit readings to a server in real time, help protect electrical equipment from overloading, automatically reports any attempts to tamper with the meter from outside, and is automatically removed for receivables and added after payment is made.
    Also smart meter ensures uninterrupted power supply improves the quality of electricity supplied, protects electrical equipment from overloading.

    According to the information, in 2024 more than 15 thousand smart meters are installed at subscribers of Issyk-Kul power grid. Of these, 12 thousand 590 are installed in Tyup district.
