12/09/2024, 13:33Important negotiations aimed at strengthening trade and economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey were held under the chairmanship of Chyngyz Toktobekov, Trade Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey.
He met with Aytac Sevimli, head of the Ankara Chamber of Dried Coffee and Dried Fruit and its members. The topic of discussion was the supply of organic nuts from Kyrgyzstan to Turkey, including aspects of logistics, quality standards and conditions of product realization.
The parties agreed to develop a presentation of a commercial proposal to promote Kyrgyz products and considered the possibility of a visit of a Turkish delegation to Kyrgyzstan to better study production processes and the potential for bilateral cooperation.
A meeting was also held with representatives of KOSGEB, Turkey's Small and Medium Business Development and Support Authority, where the prospect of cooperation with the Kyrgyz Industry Development Working Group was discussed.
KOSGEB organization expressed readiness to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan, which will open the door for exchange of experience and implementation of new projects in support of small and medium-sized businesses. Both meetings emphasized the high level of mutual interest in the development of trade and economic relations, providing new opportunities for strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
