The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan reports that today, November 25, officially comes into force a resolution of the NBKR, prohibiting commercial banks and payment organizations until December 31, 2025 to charge commissions from individuals for money transfers made through mobile applications and Internet banking.
The ban applies to transfers in the national currency on the territory of the republic.
“These measures were taken in order to increase non-cash payments, increase the availability of digital banking services, develop digital payment services and popularize the use of mobile applications,” the regulator said.
