Western Union is the world leader in money transfers, with more than 135 years of experience, as well as a vast and developed network for money transfers, and unites more than 200 countries and territories. Transfers are made in three currencies: U.S. dollars, and Kyrgyz soms. To send a money transfer via Western Union, visit a service point, fill out a form with the recipient's name, amount, city and country of receipt, then present an ID document and give the transfer amount and fee to the operator. Keep the receipt with the transfer control number (MTCN) and give it to the recipient. To receive a transfer at a Western Union point, the recipient should fill in the form, indicate the MTCN, the sender's name, the amount, the country of origin, the answer to the control question (if it is included), and show the ID card. Note that transfers to Russia are not available through this system.
