Kyrgyzstan's budget for 2024 was executed with a surplus - revenues exceeded expenditures

In 2024, Kyrgyzstan's state budget revenues totalled almost KGS 464.5 billion, which is 18.5% more than a year earlier. The revenue plan was exceeded - 1.7% more than expected.

The main part came from tax revenues - almost 349 billion KGS. This is 54.5 billion KGS more than in 2023. The Customs Service collected 123 billion KGS, and the Tax Service - 228 billion KGS. Both services coped with the plans and even slightly exceeded them.

Non-tax revenues also gave a good increase - 101.4 billion KGS, an increase of almost 25%. This includes income from interest on loans, dividends from the state shareholding, profit of the National Bank, rent and fees for the use of resources.

Grants from other countries and organisations amounted to about KGS 14 billion, but unlike other receipts, they decreased by KGS 2.1 billion compared to last year.

Expenditures for the year totalled KGS 427 billion, which is also higher than last year's level - an increase of almost KGS 48 billion. Nevertheless, there were more revenues, and the budget was executed with a surplus of almost 37.7 billion KGS at the end of the year.
