02/27/2025, 14:56Today, 27 February, at a joint meeting of the committees of the Jogorku Kenesh considered and approved a number of documents on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.
The documents were submitted to the Jogorku Kenesh for approval. In particular, a draft agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, a draft agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan on the construction and use of motorways, construction and use of crossroads of motorways, a draft agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of Tajikistan on ensuring access to water and energy facilities.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev presented information on this issue. He also noted that Kairagach enclave in Leilek district of Batken oblast was transferred to Kyrgyzstan. This was announced by Kamchybek Tashiyev, head of the State National Security Committee, at a joint meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committees.
Also, 155 hectares of land and 35 hectares of the Kairagach enclave belonging to Tajikistan were transferred in favour of Kyrgyzstan. The total area is 190 hectares.
