Minimum salary of judges 140-150 thousand soms - Tashiyev

The head of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), Kamchybek Tashiev, spoke about the recent increase in judges' salaries in Kyrgyzstan. He noted that judges complained about low incomes despite demands to work honestly and responsibly.

One judge expressed dissatisfaction, saying the state tells them to work clean, but they earn only 70,000 soms.

‘Under the rotation system, we can end up in the south of the country, for example. Of this, 30 thousand goes on rent, 20 thousand on groceries, 20 thousand on kindergarten and school for children. Only 10,000 soms are left to live on, and that's if we are lucky,’ they appealed to the head of the SCNS.

In response to these appeals, judges' salaries were raised to 140,000-150,000 soms.

Tashiyev added that in the future the state plans to gradually increase the salaries of education employees.
