10/24/2024, 08:05On 23 October, a scientific and practical conference was held in Bishkek, where the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission Arzybek Kozhoshev presented an overview of the energy and transport sector development in the Eurasian integration context.
In his speech, he noted the significant progress in Kyrgyzstan's economy since the country's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union.
Arzybek Kojoshev stressed the importance of establishing and modernising energy and transport systems to support economic growth and improve the citizens' quality of life. He paid special attention to the current state of the energy and transport markets within the EAEU, highlighting the key projects being implemented in the Kyrgyz Republic that will contribute to the further development of the republic's economy.
‘The geographical location and high energy potential of Kyrgyzstan create prerequisites to become one of the key players not only in the transport and logistics but also in the region energy sector’ Arzybek Kojoshev noted.
The conference brought together representatives of government agencies, the scientific community, and heads of international organisations and financial institutions.
