The analysis of coincident and leading indicators indicates the stability of the macroeconomic situation and the potential for growth in the short term.
Armenia and Kazakhstan expect an acceleration of business activity growth due to sustained demand and improved investment climate. Belarus and Russia, on the other hand, see a slight slowdown in growth rates due to market volatility and changes in export flows.
Kyrgyzstan, after a temporary downturn, has moved into a recovery phase and forecasts further acceleration of economic activity.
“In accordance with the dynamics of coincident and leading indicators in all EAEU member states, positive dynamics of economic activity will continue until December 2024. The economies of Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are in the recovery phase and their growth is expected to accelerate. In Belarus and Russia, where economic activity peaked in the second half of the year, growth will continue to slow down,” reads the EEC forecast.
Note that leading indicators, used by the EEC, allow to forecast short-term changes in the economy, analyzing the behavior of major economic agents and key trends.
