04/24/2025, 10:23On April 23, a seminar on industrial and agricultural cooperation with Iran was held under the auspices of the Eurasian Economic Commission. The meeting was initiated by EEC Ministers Andrei Slepnev and Gohar Barseghyan. The reason - the soon coming into force of the Free Trade Agreement between the EAEU and Iran. As early as May 15, the countries of the union will have access to new trade conditions in the Iranian market.
Andrei Slepnev noted that such events create a platform for discussing problems, sharing experience and developing joint solutions. The agreement, he said, will open unique opportunities for increasing exports and strengthening economic ties. Participation in it is a chance for the EAEU countries to enter the growing Iranian market, where both raw materials and high-tech goods are in demand.
Gohar Barseghyan emphasized the potential of sectoral cooperation, especially in industry, agro-industry and scientific developments. She stated that the parties are ready to include the most promising directions in the Joint Action Plan to speed up the implementation of the Agreement. The seminar was attended by representatives of state bodies, business associations and companies interested in strengthening their positions in foreign markets.
