The Entrepreneurship Development Fund signed a memorandum with the Kyrgyz Economic University.

The document establishes partnership relations and development of long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at joint implementation of projects to help overcome poverty, increase employment, develop entrepreneurship and social mobilisation of the population of Kyrgyzstan by providing affordable microfinance services for business projects, as well as improving their financial literacy.

In the future, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund plans to finance successful projects of Social Contract recipients. Social Contract recipients and other entrepreneurs can take financial literacy training at the Kyrgyz Economic University if they wish.

«Many of our citizens get loans and use them irrationally, which leads to certain consequences. I think that the Entrepreneurship Development Fund and the Kyrgyz Economic University, which trains quality personnel, should jointly make a great contribution to improving financial literacy not only for entrepreneurs, but also for startups and the general population», — said Ishenbek Medetov, Chairman of the Board of the Fund.
