    Remittances to Kyrgyzstan exceeded $246 mln in February 2025

    According to the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, in February this year the total volume of remittances received in the country amounted to $246.5 million, which shows growth compared to January this year, when $215.3 million was transferred.

    The main volume of receipts traditionally came to the CIS countries - $233.6 million, of which the largest share is occupied by Russia. From non-CIS countries Kyrgyzstan received $12.9 million.

    As for outgoing transfers, in February 2025, $24.6 million was sent from Kyrgyzstan. $20.2 million of this amount was sent to CIS countries, and $4.4 million - to non-CIS countries.

    Earlier it was reported that in January this year, 92.96% of all receipts - $200.1 million - went to Russia. This is 18.02% less than in January 2024, when the volume of transfers from Russia amounted to $244.1 million.

    We would like to add that by the end of 2024, the total volume of remittances to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $2 bln 989.5 mln.
