Outflow of individuals' money from Kyrgyzstan to other countries decreased 2.5 times

In January this year, Kyrgyz citizens transferred $22.9 mln abroad through money transfer systems, the regulator said.

Of these, most of the money, namely $18 mln, which is 78.6% was sent to Russia. The remaining amount was transferred to Turkey, $2.7 million, Kazakhstan - $900 thousand, the U.S. - $100 thousand and other near and far abroad countries.

We would like to add that compared to January 2024, the outflow of individuals' money through rapid transfer systems decreased 2.5 times, from $56.4 mln. This is mainly due to the reduction of transfers to Russia, when $52.8 mln was sent there.
