    In January, Kyrgyz people transferred $215.3 mln to the Motherland

    In January 2025, $215.3 mln was received in Kyrgyzstan through money transfer systems from individuals, according to the data published by the National Bank of the country.

    The largest part of remittances - 92.96% or $200.1 mln - went to Russia. This is 18.02% less than in January 2024, when the volume of receipts from this country amounted to $244.1 million.

    In addition, $900 thousand was transferred from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan, and $2.7 million from other CIS countries.

    The volume of remittances from non-CIS countries amounted to $11.5 million, including $5.1 million from the United States.

    By the end of 2024, the total volume of remittances to Kyrgyzstan amounted to $2 bln 989.5 mln.
