However, when looking at each country separately, there are significant differences. The highest population density among the EAEU countries is recorded in Armenia - 103 people per square kilometer with a total population of 3.1 million people and a territory of 29.7 thousand square kilometers. In Belarus, the population density is 44 people per square kilometer or 9.2 million inhabitants and 207.6 thousand square kilometers (the only country that has not updated the data from January 1, 2024). In Kyrgyzstan, the figure is 36 persons per square kilometer with a population of 7.3 million and a territory of 199.9 thousand square kilometers.
Kazakhstan, with a large area of 2.7 million square kilometers and a population of 20.3 million people, has one of the lowest population densities - only 7 people per square kilometer. Russia, which occupies the largest territory in the EAEU, 17.1 million square kilometers, with a population of 146 million, also has a rate of 9 people per square kilometer.
Thus, Armenia leads in population density among the EAEU countries, while Kazakhstan remains the most sparsely populated country in the union.
