Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliyev will participate in the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group as part of his working trip to Washington.

During the visit, a meeting is scheduled with the World Bank management, including Managing Director for Operations Anna Bjerde and Vice President for Europe and Central Asia Region Antonella Bassani. It is expected to discuss a wide range of issues related to the current portfolio of World Bank projects in Kyrgyzstan, as well as prospects for expanding cooperation in priority areas. Special attention will be paid to the promotion of the strategically important Kambarata HPP015-1 construction project. Following the meetings, it is planned to sign a number of bilateral agreements.

In addition, Adylbek Kasymaliev is scheduled to participate in a round table with members of the Kyrgyz-American Business Council - representatives of the U.S. business community.

The program of the visit includes meetings with representatives of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE). These meetings are aimed at expanding cooperation in the field of education and attracting financing for the implementation of educational programs, as well as to discuss the possibility of IDB participation in the financing of promising infrastructure projects.
