    The state acquired a large stake in the Institute of Engineering Surveys

    The State Agency for State Property Management under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan acquired 41.9% of common shares of Kyrgyz GIIZ OJSC.

    Kyrgyz GIIZ OJSC (Kyrgyz Head Institute of Engineering Surveys) is a leading company specializing in a wide range of services in the field of engineering surveys. These include geophysical and topographic-geodetic works, drilling, laboratory and hydrogeological studies.

    The company has implemented various projects for such major customers as Kumtor Gold Company, Alliance-Altyn, Kulank HPP, Gazprom, China Petroleum Engineering and others.
    The company was established in 1975 as a central (head) state organization for engineering-geological and topographic surveys. In 1993 the company was corporatized. And until this week it remained a 100% private organization without state participation.

    The deal with the state came into effect on December 3-4. Its amount is not specified. It is known that the company has 116 thousand 376 common shares in circulation, and their price at the initial offering was 0.3848 som. At that, earnings per share by the results of 2023 amounted to KGS 42.

    This year it may be higher, because according to the reports on the results of the third quarter of this year the company received a net profit of 27 million soms against 3 million 630.1 thousand soms in the same period of 2023.
