Since the beginning of 2024, Issyk-Kul Production Power Grid Enterprise (PES) has been actively carrying out flood control measures at power facilities in the region. The high-voltage line service carried out works on strengthening and protection of 9 poles of 35/110/220 kV power transmission lines. In September this year it is planned to complete similar works on 2 more high-voltage supports. This is reported by the press service of NESK.

According to the action plan, the following works are carried out on power transmission lines:

flood control inspections;

protection and bunding of supports;

correction and bandage of supports;
 

In addition, flood control measures were carried out at the 110/10 kV Cholpon-Ata substation. Within the framework of these measures, the following works were performed at the substation:

construction of a drainage channel around the substations;

cleaning of existing drainage and mudflow channels;

cleaning of cable channels of open switchgears;

cleaning of drainage pipes and trays;

mechanized and manual excavation.

Also, in Ton and Karakol district power grids, work was carried out to protect and strengthen the supports that are under the threat of being washed away by the river.

At the moment, Cholpon-Ata RPS is working on straightening bent poles damaged by floods in Kashat and Korumdu villages.
