04/15/2025, 13:21Today, 15 April, the Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakyt Sydykov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Kyrgyz Republic Sándor Dorogi. The meeting was held within the framework of deepening bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.
During the talks, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of economic co-operation. Special attention was paid to the significance of the Hungarian Government's decision on additional financing of the authorised capital of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
Minister Bakyt Sydykov emphasised that this step is an important element in strengthening economic ties and opens new opportunities for launching joint projects.
The parties also noted the important role of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian intergovernmental commission as a key instrument for the development of bilateral partnership. The discussion touched upon the issue of expanding cooperation in the agrarian sphere, including active co-operation between agrarian universities of the two countries.
The Hungarian side expressed readiness for further exchange of experience in scientific research, water management and implementation of innovative solutions.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in expanding partnership, establishing joint ventures and implementing promising projects in various sectors of the economy.
